Ronald E. White

Ronald E. White, 52, of Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at home surrounded by his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne presiding. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan (401 N. Main, Mt. Pleasant MI 48858) or to the Sacred Heart Academy Foundation (P.O. Box 522, Mt. Pleasant MI 48804-0522). Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Ron was born February 4, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Leland and Kathaleen (Swallow) White. He married Susan Bennett December 27, 1989, in Dublin, Ohio. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1970 and furthered his education at Central Michigan University. He was president of Fisher Transportation, Central Concrete and Alma Concrete. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. Some of his favorite pastimes were golfing, snow skiing, being outdoors, watching his son, Tylers sporting events, and spending time with his family. Ron is survived by his wife, Susan White of Mt. Pleasant, four children, Aaron (Angie) White of Mt. Pleasant, Dana (Doug) Moore of Lake Isabella, Kyle L. White of Mt. Pleasant, and Tyler White at home; three grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, and Aidan; two sisters, Donna (Les) Stashi of Sault Sainte Marie and Carol Panganis of Weidman; his brother, James (Joyce) White of Farwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
