Rosa M. Hauck, 98, of Beal City died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at the Laurels in Mt. Pleasant. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at St. Joseph Church in Beal City with Father John Cotter officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph School or to the charity of choice. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Rosa was born Dec. 12, 1904, in Isabella County, the daughter of Mathias and Mary (Bauer) Fox. She married Ragolt J. Hauck on June 3, 1930 at St. Philomena Church in Beal City. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and cooking. Rosa is survived by one son, Floyd (Mary Beth) Hauck of Beal City; four grandchildren, Michael (Mary) Hauck of Beal City, Gary (Kerry) Hauck of Beal City, Brenda (John) Lynch of Mentor, OH and Lori (Scott) Apple of Elwell; 10 great grandchildren, Miranda and Austin Hauck, Emily and Erica Hauck, Lauren and John Connor Lynch, and Jake, Jozzie, Olivia and David Apple; two sisters, Ella (Cecil) Clare and Edna Rau, both of Beal City; one brother, Fred (Rose) Fox of Beal City; a sister-in-law, Helen Zeien of Beal City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983; three sisters, Alma Gross, Anna Gross and Irene Tilmann; and four brothers, Sylvester Fox, Herman Fox, Edwin Fox and Anthony Fox.
