Rosalee Demerath, 85, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Rosebush Manor. She was born May 25, 1931, in Neenah, WI, daughter of the late Frank and Christine (VanderZanden) Finnegan. She married Leon Demerath on Oct. 2, 1954, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton, WI. In 1968, she became and Avon Representative and in 1973, moved from Green Bay, WI to Mt. Pleasant. She retired in 1993 after 25 years with Avon. Some of her favorite pastimes were traveling and knitting mittens and hats for the Commission on Aging. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish. Rosalee is survived by her husband, Leon; five children Margaret (Randy) Bellinger of Dayton, OH, Dennis (Susan) Demerath) of Shepherd, Nancy (Steve) Young of TX, John (Kathy) Demerath of Tecumseh and Matthew (Graciela) Demerath of Dexter; daughter-in-law, Patricia Demerath of IL; 14 grandchildren, Hanna, Jessica, Eric, Emily, Lauren, Jacqueline, Grace, Christine, Rachel, Andrew, Broderick, Corbin, Pablo, and Donte; and one great-granddaughter, Zoey. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Patrick. Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass for Rosalee will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30-11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held at Sacred Heart Parish Hall following the Mass. Her ashes will be interred in St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna, WI. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice or Rosebush Manor. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home.
