She enjoyed quilting, and the Sunny South Card Club and was talented at canning and cooking, always making sure the cookie jar was full for the grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church, the Council of Catholic Women, and, in her younger years, sang in the church choir. She also shared her gift of music at home with her family by playing the piano. Rose is survived by eight children, Rev. Melvin Fox of Grandville, Lloyd (Serena) Fox of Richland, Dorothy Kapral of Oshkosh, WI, Grace (Garald) Moeggenborg of Portland, Gladys (Ron) Bird of Morro Bay, CA, Alice Spayd of Weidman, Beatrice (Bruce) Patrick of Grayling, and Leonard (Janet) Fox of Hancock; 31 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lea Fussman of Oregon; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 2007; grandson, Eric Spayd; two sons-in-law, John Kapral and Ed Spayd; two sisters, Anna Simmer and Sophia Schafer; and four brothers, Chris, Joe, Ed and Walter Fussman. The Fox family thanks the caregivers at the Prestige Centre for over three years of wonderful care.
