Rose Marie Sheahan, 68, of Rosebush died Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at MidMichigan Medical Center in Clare. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, October 3, at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Jeff Donner and Lorraine McGuiness co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rose Marie Sheahan Memorial Scholarship Fund for her grandchildren. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Rose Marie was born July 18, 1935, in Detroit, the daughter of James and Lucile (Hines) Fitzpatrick. She married Richard Sheahan on Aug. 11, 1956, at St. Cecilia Church in Clare. Years ago, she worked at Central Michigan University as an aide in the Health Department. She was a member of St. Henry Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting, reading and cross country skiing. Rose Marie is survived by five children, Karen (Jack) Jaynes of Clare, Debbie (Jeff) Campbell of Rosebush, Joseph (Margaret) Sheahan of Caledonia, Daniel (Suann) Sheahan of Mt. Pleasant, and David Sheahan of Naples, Fla.; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter; her brother, Jim Fitzpatrick of Mt. Pleasant; her sister, Mary Ellen (Francis) Young of Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Jerry (Dot) Sheahan of Mt. Pleasant; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Bill) Verwey of Rosebush; and her very special friend, Pete McCann of Clare. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Richard in 1996.
