Rosemary Hammerle, 89, of Lake Isabella and formerly of Warren passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at The Laurels in Mt. Pleasant. A Funeral Mass for Rosemary will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Father Ricky Varner as celebrant. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Beal City. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 5 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker School. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Rosemary was born April 26, 1927, in Detroit, daughter of the late Leo and Blanche (Rybarski) Lewandowski. A 1945 graduate of St. Josephat High School in Detroit, Rosemary married Donald E. Hammerle on Sept. 30, 1950, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Detroit. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker in Beal City and former member of Guardian Angels in Detroit and the former St. Dorothys in Warren. She enjoyed traveling and visiting her family. Her family was the most important thing to her. Rosemary is survived by five children, Susan (Sam) Chunn of Apache Junction, AZ, Tom (Theresa) Hammerle of Jensen Beach, FL, Cheryl (Chris) Marecki of Goose Creek, SC, Joseph Hammerle of Lake Isabella, and Paul (Laura) Hammerle of Tega Cay, SC; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Stella Lewandowski of Clinton Twp.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald in 1990; and brother, Ray Lewandowski.
