Russell Lapham

Russell D. Lapham, "Rusty", 72, of Rainbow Lake, Perrinton, Michigan passed away peacefully on Monday, December 14th, 2015 at the University of Michigan Hospital, with his loved ones by his side. He was born June 29, 1943 in Lansing, Michigan son of the late Josephine (Navarre) and Harold S Lapham. He married Connie Vanacker in 1964 in Winn, Michigan. Russ was a Vietnam war veteran and a retired Manufacturing Engineer for General Motors at Fisher Body, Lansing, MI. Russ enjoyed wood carving, hunting and fishing. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing with his grandsons on Rainbow Lake and deer hunting on "the 40" with his son, Kevin. Surviving is Connie, his wife of 51 years; son, Kevin D. (Linda) Lapham of Royal Oak, MI; daughter, Karie Fay of Tecumseh, MI; two grandsons, Christopher D. Fay and Alex D. Lapham; brother, Harold (Marilyn) Lapham of Blanchard; and sister, Janet Lapham of Remus. He was preceded in death by his parents; and older brother, Robert Lapham. His wishes were to be cremated without service. He awaits us in Heaven. "Do not think of me as gone--I am with you still--in each new dawn".
