Sally Loraine Beeson

Sally Beeson, 73, of Mt. Pleasant passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, May 1, 2022, at McLaren Central Michigan.  She was born on December 8, 1948, in Gratiot County, Michigan, daughter of the late Dale and Geneva (Gee) Davenport. A 1966 graduate of Alma High School. Sally continued her studies at Lansing Community College and received her associate degree in nursing through Ferris State. She earned a bachelor's degree in health administration from Central Michigan University and a bachelor's degree in science and nursing from Ferris State University. She finished with a master's degree in science and nursing and became a family nurse practitioner from Andrews University in 1997.  Sally was currently working at Sweetwater Medical Center in Shepherd.  Amidst her many years of bettering her education, Sally met the love of her life, Kenneth Beeson. The two would marry on January 6, 1983, in Sumner, Michigan. One of their favorite co-pastimes was camping. Known as a hard worker, Sally enjoyed her occupation and the opportunity to help others. She was a loving and caring woman who always put her family and patients first. She will be dearly missed by her countless patients, both current and past. Sally leaves behind by her husband of 39 years, Kenneth; children, Bryan (Tracie) Nieman of St. Louis and Kimberley (fiancé, Rob Kruse) Nieman of Otisville; sisters, Sharon Delaney of Saginaw, Sue Olson of Sumner, Dale (Aleena) Davenport of Alma and Shelley (Jim) Paavo of Marquette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Geneva Davenport; niece, Kristi Olson; nephew, Todd Mills; and brother-in-law, Marv Olson. Sally's funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 5, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Eric Stadtfeld officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.  and on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held at Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home). Interment will be in the Sumner Township Cemetery in Sumner. Memorial contributions may be made to Commission on Aging, American Heart Association, or Relay for Life. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
