Sally Ann (Fobear) Cole, age 84, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, left this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, passing away peacefully on December 31, 2020 under the attentive and loving watch of her Masonic Pathways caregivers, after succumbing to a courageous battle with COVID-19. Sally was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who dearly loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. Unfortunately, Sally was never able to meet her three great granddaughters or her newest daughter-in-law, Kirstin, in this life. She found great joy in simple pleasures—caring for her grandchildren, baking the best cakes and cookies, playing cards with friends, traveling with Roger in their motorhome, fishing, singing and listening to music. She especially loved the holidays, and always took great care to make family birthdays a special celebration. This Christmas season was spent in COVID care but included frequent "Zoom gatherings," with her family singing Christmas carols and her grandson and son-in-law performing electrical keyboard and vocal solos. Sally was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Sally was born April 18, 1936, in Saginaw, MI to the late Archie J. and Elsie E. (née Becker) Fobear. Sally is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Roger D. Cole, of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and three daughters, Terri (Todd) Anson of Coronado, CA, and Deborah (Mike) Brenton and Sandy (Bryan) Klumpp of Traverse City, MI. Also surviving are her five grandsons, Zach Zeneberg (Amy Austin), Eugene, OR, Chris (Kirstin) Anson, San Diego, CA, Ryan (Renee) Anson, Glencoe, IL, Eric (Yan) Bowers, Haslett, MI, and Brett Bowers, Traverse City, MI; three great granddaughters, Olivia Anson, and Sophie and Margot Bowers, and her many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Sally, the youngest of 12 children, was predeceased by all of her siblings--her sisters, Myrtle, Betty, Marjorie, Barbara and Mary Jane; her brothers, Archie, Chester, Harry, Raymond, William, and James. A memorial service for Sally will be held at a later date at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Sally's cremains will be laid to rest in Vernon Township Cemetery, Clare, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sally may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, c/o Pastor Jonathon Bakker, 3401 E. River Road, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
