Samantha Rae Pappas

Samantha Pappas, 21, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Beal City died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 28, 2006 at her home. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Lux Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Buchner of Rosebush United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery in Rosebush. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made her sons, the Kaleb and JaxonEducation Fund. Envelopes will be available at Lux Funeral Home. Samantha was born Nov. 15, 1984 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Kevin and Darlene (Luce) Pappas. She graduated from Beal City High School in 2002 and was employed as a Direct Care Worker at Listening Ear. She was an excellent athlete and excelled at softball. She enjoyed hunting and being in the outdoors. But the most important thing in her life were her two sons. Samantha leaves behind her children, Kaleb Michael Flint and Jaxon Thomas Pappas; her loving parents, Kevin and Penny Pappas of Rosebush and Darlene and Bernie Miller of Beal City; brother, Seth Pappas; sisters, Danielle Miller and Nicole McKenzie; grandparents, Ed and Mary Pappas of Rosebush, Harold and Bonnie Luce of Mt. Pleasant, Bernard Gene and Mary Miller and Tony and Keitha Dora; great-grandmothers, Freda Phillips of Rosebushand Lucille Hamilton of Big Rapids; and many aunts and uncles, including Dawn (Sarge) Luce, Gail (Dave) Pung, Kathy (Greg) Dean, Rosie (Paul) Dixon, Eddie Joe (Jackie) Pappas, Pam (Brent) Mowry, Peggy (Andy) Dora-Keumple, Paula (Nick) Dora, Karen (Paul) Gross, Karla (Doug) Stewart, Ken (Carolyn) Miller, Kal (Pam) Miller, Dan (Julie) Miller, and Matt (Michele) Miller; and numerous cousins and friends.
