Samuel Paul Beeg

Samuel Paul Beeg Sr., 79, of Shepherd, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019, at McLaren Bay Region Medical Center in Bay City. His funeral will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, January 18, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Selvidge officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow in Lincoln Reception Center (attached to Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home). Interment will be in Memorial Gardens following the luncheon. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family or McLaren Hospice Care. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Samuel was born October 21, 1939, in Seabrook, Maryland, son of the late Adolph E. and Margerethe (Smith) Beeg. He married Marcile Evelyn Smillie on June 3, 1962, in Rosebush. Samuel is survived by two sons, Samuel (Terry) Beeg Jr. of Mt. Pleasant and Earnest Beeg (Karen Yarger) of Shepherd; five grandchildren, Maya Beeg, Gracelynn Beeg, Tristian Foster, Mikayla Foster, and Theresa Clark; sister, Martha (Jake) White; brother, Adolph Buddy Beeg; and many nieces and nephews. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Margerethe Beeg; wife, Marcile in 2017; sisters, Judy Anderson, Margarete Grigsby, and Blanche Midge Frietag; and brother, David Beeg.
