Sandra Ann Bork

Sandra Bork, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, July 30, at Green Acres Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant, with her children by her side.  Sandra was born on May 18, 1945, in New York City, daughter of the late Joseph and Priscilla (Davidat) Hasiak.  She graduated from a New Jersey High School with the class of 1963 and continued her education at the North Carolina State College and Community College in Pennsylvania.  Sandra married William James Bork on June 17, 1967, in Pennsylvania.  Their marriage was blessed with three children: Jennifer, William and Joseph.  In their golden years, Sandra and William enjoyed traveling.  They took trips to Ireland, China (Asian tour), St. Petersburg (Russia), Caribbean, and a riverboat cruise in Europe. They enjoyed 8 years on their 62-foot yacht that was docked in the Chesapeake Bay, sailing one winter to spend in Hilton Head.  She also enjoyed crafting, painting, and gardening. More than anything, family was important to Sandra, and she cherished her time spent with them.  Sandra is survived by her children, Jennifer (Steven) Anderson of Davis, CA, William (Lisa) Bork III, of Pittsburg, PA, and Joseph (Caroyn Holton) of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Hannah, William, Joseph Jr., Jake, Lucy and Liam; brother, Robert (Suzanne) Hasiak of Bellevue, NE; and niece, Renee Hasiak. She is preceded in death by both parents and husband, William in 2014. A funeral service will be held in New Jersey, and she will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery in Manasquan, New Jersey, next to her husband, William.   To sign the online guest book or leave a condolence for the family please visit www.CharlesRLux.com.
