Sandra Lee Pelcher

Sandra Lee Pelcher, 68, of Shepherd passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be interred in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Sandra was born December 12, 1948, in Traverse City, MI, daughter of Leroy B. and Dorothy E. (Durga) Stites. In 1985 she married Carl Pelcher in Sanford. She was employed by the Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Sanford Eagles Club and the American Legion. Sandra loved spending time in Traverse City with her family. She absolutely loved being with her grandchildren. Sandra is survived by two daughters, Shelly Birdsey of Traverse City and Karen Sinn of Shepherd; six grandchildren, Sean Sinn, Jordan Birdsey, Christopher Birdsey, Mitchell Bradshaw, LeAnne Bradshaw, and Justin Sinn; four great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Monteiro, Emilee Sinn, and Cameron and Asher Bradshaw; her mother, Dorothy Stites of Traverse City; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Stites of Mayfield and Connie (Ed) Pallett of Clare. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Pelcher; father, Leroy Stites; and brother, David Stites.
