Sharon Fedewa, 72, of Middleville and formerly of Beal City passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at home with family at her side. Cremation has taken place and her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the gathering room of the church on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Visitation continues on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Sharon was born April 20, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Edward Louis and Helen Margaret (Ley) Fedewa. She graduated from Beal City High School in 1960. Prior to settling in Middleville she had lived in a number of places within Michigan, Ohio and Colorado where she held jobs at a newspaper agency, radio station and police department. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima in Hastings. She loved Colorado and the mountains. Sharon is survived by her daughter Tammi (Greg) Lyon of Kentwood; three sisters, Geri (Jerry) Bierschbach of Lake Isabella, Linda (LaVern) Yuncker of Beal City and Connie (Larry) Corriveau of Holland; and nieces and nephews, Ken, Dave, Lori, Kelly, Corey, Jodi, Kevin and Chelsea. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant daughter, Darci Lee Durfee.
