Sharon Olger, 82, of Remus, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland. Sharon was born November 26, 1939, in Pine Grove, West Virginia, daughter of the late Jess and Virginia (Carson) Wagner. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1957, Sharon married the love of her life, Lyle V. Olger, on May 17, 1958, in Stanwood, Michigan. She was employed by Broomfield Township (Isabella County) as the township treasurer, and she was a long-time member of Weidman Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking cookies for all, cooking, playing games, and traveling out of state with her family. Sharon was family oriented, she loved her family and always kept up with all that was going on in their lives. She rarely missed a volleyball, soccer, baseball game, dance recital or grandchildren's school activities. Sharon is survived by her husband of nearly 64 years, Lyle Olger; children, Julie (Elton) Simmer of Weidman, Jeanette (Kevin) Bowman of Weidman, Jessica (Matthew) Rokos of Traverse City, Jolynn (Kevin) Bailey of Rosebush, and Jason (Jennifer) Olger of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Rene' (Michael) Elsbury, Samantha (fiancé Michael Benner) Olger, Carson, Drew, and Carissa Rokos, Jordan and Zachary Bailey, and Ella and Lila Olger; great grandchildren, Austin, Gavin, and Carrigan Elsbury; siblings, Jerry (Regina) Wagner of Weidman and Pamela (Steven) Foster of Blanchard; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janice (Kenny) White; and siblings, Jack Wagner and Marjorie (Jack) Olger. Sharon's memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Weidman Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Willard officiating. A luncheon will follow at Sherman Township Hall. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Weidman Baptist Church.
