Shelly Sue Lamerand

Shelly Sue Lamerand, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at McLaren Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant.

Shelly was born on September 8, 1960, in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Alan and Martha (Flint). She grew up in Jackson, where she graduated from Parkside High School in 1978.

An incredibly warm and caring person, Shelly dedicated her life to her family, who meant everything to her. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether she was playing tennis, hitting a round of golf, or spending a quiet afternoon working in her yard. She was also an avid sports fan who loved watching the game. Above all, her favorite role in life was being a grandmother, and she cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her father, Alan Aprill; daughters, Courtney (Nicholas) Blond and Alicia (Tim) Gunter; grandchildren, Wednesday, Eleanor, Blakely, and Grayer; and her sisters, Sheree (Benji) Schussman and Steffi Brasington.

Shelly was preceded in death by her mother, Martha David.

Shelly's loving spirit will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

A private memorial service will be held in her honor. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics .
