Sherry Lee Cottrell

Sherry Lee Cottrell, 54, of Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Lux Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Waldrup officiating. Burial will be in Kelly Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Sherry was born Jan. 2, 1950 the daughter of Johnathon and Shirley Hale. She married Randy Cottrell on Sept. 9, 1994 in Midland. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, cooking, sewing, crocheting, and fishing and spending time with her cat, Sugar . But most important in her life was her family, especially her grandchildren. Sherry is survived by her husband, Randy Cottrell of Mt. Pleasant; seven children, Cynthia (Burke) Duzenbury of Riverdale, Christine (Brad) Eckman, Carolyn (Rob) Eakin, Cathlene (Carl) Ames, and Timothy Phinney, all of Mt. Pleasant, Corinna (Justin) Welch of Midland, and Sarah (Russel) Zilska of Clare; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Vicki of Florida and Diane of Flint; and her brother, Michael of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Floyd Cato.
