Shirley Marie Downing

Shirley Downing, 90, of Shepherd, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Brian's Hospice House in Essexville, Michigan. Shirley was born March 19, 1932, in Seward, Nebraska and was raised by her mother, Ferol Marie Swallow. On April 28, 1953, Shirley married Clarence Edward Downing. Some of Shirley's favorite pastimes were gardening, sewing, traveling in her RV, crocheting, knitting, and baking. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Sue Anne (Lenore Behar) Downing of Shepherd, granddaughters, Stacey (Keith Kirouac) Mankoff of Spain and Molly Mankoff of Mt. Pleasant; and great grandchildren, Lucas Mankoff and Nash Mankoff. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ferol; husband, Clarence; and daughter, Karen Marie Downing. Cremation has taken place.
