Stanley T. Black

Stanley T. Black, age 66, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Mecosta, MI passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2016 following a short illness. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at Union Cemetery in Fremont Township, near Winn, MI with Rev. Connie Bongard officiating. Stanley was born September 3, 1949 in Midland, MI to Stanley Eugene and Helen Grace (Starkweather) Black. Stan attended Midland Public Schools and Ferris State College. He held degrees in both electronics and teaching. Stan enjoyed all areas of electronics and was also a private pilot for many years. In his earlier years, Stan enjoyed SCUBA diving. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Stan had recently retired from an avionics company near Kansas City. While residing in Mecosta he had worked several jobs in the Mt. Pleasant area including Motorola. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Suzanne (Warner) and two brothers, Steve and Brian Black of Mecosta; brother-in-laws Don Warner, Dwayne Warner and sister-in-law Shawn Warner and 2 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law Donald and Helen Warner.
