Steven M. Hardy

Steven Hardy, 69, of Lake Isabella and formerly of Redford Township passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Woodland Hospice. His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. His ashes will be interred in St. Joseph the Worker Cemetery in Beal City. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Steven was born May 11, 1942, in Toronto, Canada, the son of the late Sydney and Laura (Harris) Hardy. He married Patricia Meloche on September 1, 1989, in Oahu, Hawaii. He was employed as a plumber for 42 years with local union 98, retiring in 2003. He and his wife moved to Lake Isabella in 1997 from Redford Township. He is survived by his wife Patricia of Lake Isabella, two children, Michael Hardy of Dearborn Heights and Donna (Jack) McNellis of Westland; and their mother, Linda Hardy of Westland; six step-children, Mary (Joe) Wenzel of Garden City, Jack (Nancy) Lezotte of Binghamton, NY, Jill Lezotte of Wayne, Bill Lezotte of Wayne, Sharon (Patrick) Stanek of Dearborn and Tom (Shelly) Lezotte of Lake Isabella; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; his sister, Laura (Douglas) Kolb of Littleton, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
