Steven M. Nitz

Steven Nitz, 38, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of St. Johns, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Mt. Pleasant. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant. Steven was born January 6, 1973, in Detroit, son of Stephen C. and Barbara (Fuller) Nitz. A 1991 graduate of St. Johns High School, he worked for a number of companies including Hardees in St. Johns, Contech in Alma, and Mid-State Asbestos Removal, Inc. in St. Louis. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed baseball, basketball and Nascar. He had always wanted to be a statistician. Steven is survived by his mother, Barb (Jack) Osterhout of Myrtle Beach, SC; father, Stephen (Diana) Nitz of Glenwood Springs, CO; and brother, Brian Nitz of Mt. Pleasant.
