Steven Parks, 46, of Winn and formerly of Cadillac passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. A gathering for the community will be held at Judges Bench in Winn on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 5-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 14 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cadillac at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to his children at the Steven Parks Memorial Fund at Firstbank of Winn. Steven was born Nov. 12, 1960 in Saginaw, the son of Harold Parks and Arlene (Siebert-Parks) Larsen. He lived in Cadillac most of his life before settling in Winn, where he was employed at Morbark for 20 years. His favorite pastime was spending time with his children. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and belonging to the ABATE Club. His love of music brought him to be involved in the Wheatland Festival for the last 23 years. Steve is survived by his two children, Elise Zada Parks of Crystal and Isaac Wayne Parks of Mt. Pleasant; mother Arlene Larsen of Cadillac; father Harold (Cyndi) Parks of Brethren; two brothers, H. Craig (Rachel) Parks of Leroy, and Christopher (Mary) Parks of Buckley; and one sister Maureen (Brad) Kindt of Shelton, WA.
