Steven Paul Walton

Steven Walton, 62, of Shepherd, MI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 13, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Phoenix, AZ on September 30, 1961, to Franklin Walton and Carol (Smith) Walton. He proudly served in the US Army's special forces until his honorable discharge. Steven married Gerry Leposki on July 20, 2010. He enjoyed traveling to Mackinaw Island, watching movies, eating coney dogs and time spent with his cats and dogs. Steven was known as a "jack of all trades". Known for his big heart, Steven was the primary caregiver to his mother Carol. He was also a member of multiple local and national organizations. He will be missed by so many. Steven is survived by his mother, Carol; wife, Gerry; daughter, Nicole "Pryncess" Blackman; stepsons, Jason Parker, Scot Cooley, and Jeff Cooley; siblings, Brenda Pearlman and Robert Walton; sister in laws, Rita and Connie Walton; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father; Frank Walton and siblings; Frank T. Walton, Linda Walton, Dale Walton, and James Walton; and brother-in-law, William Pearlman. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred in the Chippewa Township Cemetery next to his family.
