Tanya Ong

Tanya Ong, 41, of Alma, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Lux Family Life Story Funeral Home 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant, with Thich Nu An Hoa officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery immediately after the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-5 p.m., Sunday from 9-11 a.m. and 2-5 p.m., and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the service begins. Tanya was born April 18, 1972, in Soc Trang, Vietnam, daughter of Chanh Van Ong and Ngan Thi Truong. She married Travis Van Nguyen in September 2000 in Saginaw, MI. She was employed by California Nails in Alma as a nail technician the past 12 years. She is survived by her husband, Travis of Alma and their daughters, Karen, Briana, Natalee and Jaclyn Nguyen; her parents, Chanh Ong and Ngan Truong of Alma; brother, Vien Ong of Vietnam; and sister, Helen Ong of Mt.
