Teri Kay died peacefully Monday, September 1, 2008 after a brief bout with cancer. She was thankful to her friends and family for all the help they provided for her and her children. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008 at The Weidman United Methodist Church, at 1 PM. A luncheon will follow at the Weidman VFW Hall. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858. Teri treasured her family and friends. She loved working with the children, families, and committed staff for the NEMCSA Head Start Pre-School Program in partnership with Chippewa Hills Pre-School Programs for 13 years. Teri thanked God that he gave her this work to do. What a blessing. Teri wrote in her journal. Teri loved gardening and music, especially rock and roll, but most of all she loved to have people around her. She is survived by her children: Aaron Ross (Savannah Kaninsky) of Beal City Mi, Rebecca (James) Guthrie Jr. of Mt. Pleasant Mi, John Ross of Beal City Mi, and Samantha Ross of Beal City. Grandchildren: Ann and Vincent Guthrie. She is also survived by her brothers, John (Judy) Peter of Port Charlotte, Fl, Jerry (Esther) Peter of Waterford, MI., Gene (Judy) Peter of Waterford, MI, Lynne Peter, Venice, FL. Sisters: Patricia Glassbrook (Ed Breuer) of Beal City, Mi, Gayle (Gary) Barnett of Coleman, Mi. and Special companion, Joseph Breuer and family of Beal City Mi, and many loved nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded Teri in death: Thomas M. Peter and Donald D. Peter.
