Terra Lynn (Morey) Boone

Terra Lynn Boone, 48, of Louisville, Kentucky, and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly, January 10, 2024, at Norton's Hospital, with her family by her side.

She was born November 7, 1975, in Alma, Michigan, daughter of Lon Morey and Linda (Schumacher) Morey.

A 1993 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Terra continued her studies at Central Michigan University and the University of Utah, graduating with a degree in Outdoor Parks, Recreation, and Tourism.

Being an adventurous soul, Terra embarked on many creative endeavors including guiding youth outdoor adventures, culinary arts, authoring children's books, as well as holding many positions at Snowbird Ski Resort, where she met her dear husband, Patrick. In her leisure time, Terra found joy in helping others, nurturing her family, and pursuing her passions. She delighted in exploring new destinations, hiking, snowboarding, cycling, and spending time with her friends and family in The Republic of Panama, forging lasting friendships.

Terra was a woman of immense love and care, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was known for her thoughtfulness, compassion, and selflessness, traits that endeared her to all who knew her. Terra's spirit was vibrant and adventurous, always seeking new experiences and embracing life with enthusiasm. She had a deep devotion to her family and friends, cherishing the bonds she shared with them. Terra's inner beauty radiated outward, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

A Memorial Service, celebrating Terra's life, will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, February 17, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Matt Begres officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Following the service, all are invited to join the family for a meal and refreshments in Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Terra Lynn (Morey) Boone Memorial Fund through the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Terra leaves behind her loving husband, Patrick, and their cherished children, DyLon Patrick and Ava Lynn. She is also survived by her beloved parents, Lon Morey and Linda Morey; siblings, Krista Morey, Gina (Paul) Gentile, and Laura King; supportive in-laws, Michael and Johneva Boone; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and her reliable walking canine companion, Rhiley Lynn.

She was preceded in death by her infant twin siblings, Lisa and Nicholas Morey, and little sister, Angela Morey; maternal grandparents, James and Dolores "June" Schumacher; and paternal grandparents, Norval and Phyllis Morey.

Terra's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and loved ones. Her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace. We will always love you.
