Thomas Joseph Bierschbach

Thomas Joseph Bierschbach, age 79, of Beal City passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.

Tom was born on June 12, 1939 in Nottawa Township to Julius and Christina (Fox) Bierschbach. He graduated from Beal City High School in 1957. Tom married Carol Ann Hart on October 15, 1960 at St. Philomena Church in Beal City and she preceded him in death on December 1, 2015. He was employed as a carpenter for Straus Brothers for over 40 years. Tom loved to go hunting and fishing, playing cards, spending time with family and friends; especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church and the Knights of Columbus of Beal City.

Tom leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Debbie (Steven) Loeb and Teresa Bierschbach; grandchildren, Joe (Tabitha) Loeb and Jessica (Luke) Graham; great-grandchildren, April and Lukey Graham; siblings, Gerald (Geri) Bierschbach, Dick (Lola) Bierschbach, Bonny (Bob) Lyon, Judy Schumacher, Dianne (Tom) Schumacher, Bill (Sharon) Bierschbach, Glen (Ann Gross) Bierschbach, Kathy (Ron) Bontrager, Bernie (Amy) Bierschbach, and Barb (Tom) Diehm and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol Ann Bierschbach; sons, Joseph (1977) and John (2005) and brother-in-law, Gary Schumacher.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Tom will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Beal City with Father Thomas Held presiding. The family will receive friends at the gathering room of the church on Monday, July 2 from 3 to 8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the Mass and the burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Tom's memory to the family. Envelopes will be available at the church and the funeral home.
