Thomas Fox, 58, of Beal City passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, at home with his family at his side. A Funeral Mass for Tom will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Father Thomas Held as celebrant. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Beal City Knights of Columbus Hall. Burial will be in St. Henrys Cemetery in Rosebush. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Beal City Education Foundation (through the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation) or St. Joseph the Worker Church. Envelopes will be available at the church or funeral home. Tom was born September 24, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, son of the late William J. and Agnes M. (Andres) Fox. A 1976 graduate of Beal City High School, Tom married Donna Vogel on October 6, 1984, at St. Henrys Catholic Church in Rosebush. He was a lifelong farmer. He had served on the Nottawa Township Board and served as trustee and secretary of Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA). He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish, served on its Parish Council, and was a member of the Beal City Knights of Columbus Council 3651. He is survived by his wife of nearly 33 years, Donna; two sons, Patrick Fox of Beal City and Michael Fox of Chicago, IL; six siblings, Stephen (Yvonne) Fox of Beal City, George (Dora) Fox of Beal City, Kathleen (Mark) Stevens of Lowell, Annette (Daniel) Byers of Nunica, Martin (Julie) Fox of Beal City and Frank (Jean) Fox of Beal City; mother-in-law, Janice Vogel of Rosebush; in-laws, David Vogel of Rosebush, Joan (Bernie Bramer) Vogel of Beaverton, Judith (Dennis) Haag of Lenox Township, Deborah (Charles) Novak of Longmont, CO, Gerard (Linda) Vogel of Mt. Pleasant, Francis (Sandra) Vogel of Winn, Phillip (Amy) Vogel of Rosebush, Barbara (Robert) Vandaveer of Clare, Bernard (Anna) Vogel of Mt. Pleasant, Marilyn (Gregory) Gray of Clare, Matthew (Kimberly) Vogel of Mt. Pleasant, Marie (Donald) Johnson of Daphne, AL, Denise Vogel of Rosebush, and Jane West (Mike Ehlermann) of Washburn, ME; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Agnes Fox; brother, John Fox; nephew, Patrick Garrett; father-in-law, Jerome Vogel; and sister-in-law, Pamela Vogel. A special thank you to Heartland Hospice, family and friends for the kindness and care that was shown to Tom. He will be greatly missed by all.
