Thomas John Fox

Thomas Fox, 62, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Cremation has taken place and his memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. A luncheon will follow at the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4-8 p.m. with a Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Tom was born July 10, 1953, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Gerald and Genevieve (Neubecker) Fox. A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in 1971, Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1975. On August 13, 1983 he married Patricia A. Patty Walker at Sacred Heart Church. He worked as a truck driver for R & T Murphy Trucking and had also been employed by Central Asphalt and Weldons. He retired in 2015. Some of his favorite pastimes were golfing, fishing, and riding motorcycles for many years. Tom is survived by his wife, Patty; two sons, Stuart (Sydney) Fox of Boise, ID and Norman Fox of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Kaden, Jackson and Lila Fox; two siblings, James (Jan) Fox of Grand Rapids and Nancy (Chris) West of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
