Thomas F. Walker, 90,of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Schnepp Health Care in St. Louis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Parish, Sacred Heart Academy Foundation, or Gratiot Medical Center Rehabilitation. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Tom was born in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Frank and Louise (Gallagher) Walker. He married Thelma Marz on May 18, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant. His life centered on farming, including dairy, beef and crops. In recent years he developed a fondness of gardening. He also enjoyed watching baseball and football. Thomas is survived by his wife of 61 years, Thelma; eight children, Jan (Ray) Klosowski of Mt. Pleasant, Marcia (Sam) Pankhurst of Lakeview, Tim (Valerie) Walker of DeWitt, Brad (Jane) Walker of Mt. Pleasant, Patty (Tom) Fox of Mt. Pleasant, Judy (Jeff) Sherwood of St. Louis, Ann (Kurt) Fisher of Mt. Pleasant, and Doug Walker and his fiance, Deb Foltz of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, John (Gladys) Walker of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Julia (Ted) Konicki of Fremont and Eloise Untiedt of La Jolla, California; sister-in-law, Eloise Theisen; and brother-in-law, William Marz. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arthur and Edward; and sisters, Bernice Hutchins and Imogene Foldesi.
