Todd Alan Lowell, age 52, of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. He was born on June 7, 1973, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Bob and Linda Lowell.
From an early age, Todd's kind and gentle spirit shone brightly, endearing him to everyone he met. He had a remarkable gift for making friends wherever he went, forming connections that reflected his warmth and sincerity. A proud graduate of Northview High School, Todd discovered his lifelong passion for music as a dedicated member of the band, where he played the saxophone with enthusiasm and skill. That passion carried him to Central Michigan University, where he continued sharing his love of music as a proud member of the Chippewa Marching Band and built friendships that would last a lifetime.
Todd worked for many years at Isabella Bank, where he was known as a beloved and friendly teller who greeted every customer with warmth and humor. He later found deeply meaningful work at Listening Ear in Mount Pleasant, where his compassion touched the lives of countless coworkers and clients. His ability to connect with others and his commitment to kindness left a lasting legacy within the organization.
Music remained a constant joy in Todd's life. As an active member of the Central Michigan Area Concert Band, the Clare Michigan Gateway Band, and the Saginaw Eddy Concert Band, he continued to share his talent and love of music with the community, cherishing the camaraderie of fellow musicians and the joy of performing in countless concerts.
Todd will be remembered for his kind heart and incredible sense of humor. His laughter was infectious, his generosity unwavering, and his warmth unforgettable. To know Todd was to be reminded of the goodness that exists in the world.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Lowell and Ward and Betty Huyser, and his uncle, Russ Lowell. Todd is survived by his loving parents, Bob and Linda Lowell; his brothers Chris (Kathy), Brian (Megan), and Brent (Emilee) Lowell; his nieces Megan, Harper, Anna, Henley, and Leah Lowell; his nephews Erik (fiancée Sarah Huffman) and Hudson Lowell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Todd's life was filled with music, laughter, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Todd's life will be held on Sunday, November 23, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Casino Club of Grand Rapids (3260 Salerno Dr. NW, Grand Rapids MI 49544). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Listening Ear, 107 Illinois St., Mount Pleasant, MI 48858.
