Vasilios William Mourtzouhos

William Mourtzouhos, age 87, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. He was born on September 26, 1928 in Greece, the son of Gregory and Sophia Mourtzouhos. William and his wife, Eva, were owners of the Downtown Restaurant and the Chicken Shack in Mt. Pleasant. He was a member of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Saginaw. William is survived by his wife, Eva; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services for William will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Fr. Timothy Cook of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church officiating. Trisagion prayers will be recited at 1:30 p.m. at Rowley Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from Noon to 2:00 p.m.
