Velda M. Weber

Velda M. Weber, 89, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Warren died Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Wooden Rocker. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the chapel at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Velda was born Dec. 8, 1915 in Leamington, Ontario the daughter of Ernest and Etha (Fleming) Fysh. She married Leo Melvin Weber Oct. 14, 1939 in Melbourne, Ontario. She worked as the kitchen manager at Lamphere High School in Madison Heights. She enjoyed sewing. Velda is survived by a daughter, Linda (Ronald) Peterson of Lake Isabella; son, Paul (Carol) Weber of Coldwater Lake; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Duane (Vera) Fysh of Ontario, Canada; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Fysh, of Leamington and Margaret Fysh of Windsor. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leo in 1992; and three brothers.
