Virginia L. Kappler

Virginia L. Kappler, age 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday morning, November 4, 2016 at her home in Greendale Township. She was born on July 28, 1935 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Albert and Deretha Wing Durfee. Virginia married Thomas Kappler on January 16, 1965 in Mt. Pleasant. Virginia is survived by her husband, Thomas; five children, Diane and Earl Brown of Indiana, Mike Welch of Tempe, AZ, Dennis Welch of Big Rapids, Connie and Clifford Edwards of Ionia, and Tammy and Donald Stephenson, Jr. of Florence, AZ;10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Cour of Barryton. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Berdet and Boyd Durfee; and a sister, Bonnie Burnwald. Virginia was a member of the Eagles Lodge. She loved to do crafts, games on the computer, along with board and card games. Virginia attended school activities in local schools to benefit children. According to Virginias wishes, no services are planned at this time.
