Virginia M. Plume, age 79, of Holt and formerly of Lake Isabella went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
Virginia was born on June 21, 1935 to Max B. and Flossie L. (Schulze) Garms in Onaway, MI. She grew up in the Onaway and Millersburg area and graduated from Onaway High in 1954. On June 18, 1954 Virginia married the love of her life, Eugene D. Plume in Onaway. She was a member of the Weidman Baptist Church and she loved the Lord. Her most cherished times were spent with her grandchildren. She was an avid outdoors woman and loved quilting.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Eugene; 3 daughters, Debra A. Pinkel of Lansing, Mary Kaye Plume of Shepherd, and Valarie L. (Mark) Biddinger of Cedarville, Ohio and a son, Harry E. (Ruth) Plume of Alpena; 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Cassie, and Jonathan Pinkel, Andrea (Todd) Griffin, Lisa Luebke, Bryan Plume, Ryan, Stephan, Andrew and Julia Biddinger and 2 great grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George, Fred and Bob Garms and one sister, Genevra Newton.
A service celebrating Virginia's life is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Weidman Baptist Church on 7555 W. Airline Road with Pastor Dean Willard officiating.
Memorial donation in Virginia's honor may be made to the Weidman Baptist Church, Community Cancer Services or McLaren Greater Lansing Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the church and funeral home.
