Walter Earl Burger

Walter Earl Burger, age 67, of Farwell, Michigan, was requested in heaven Friday, October 26, 2012, due to a fatal car accident. He passed away doing what he loved best-helping people. He was born February 7, 1945, to Harvey Earl and Mary (Stafford) Burger in Lake, MI. He leaves his loving wife of 48 years, Beverly (Johnson) Burger; daughter, Dawn (Wilhelm) Gahabka of Cape Coral, FL; son, Shawn Burger of Farwell; loving sisters, Marge Colosky of Birch Run, MI and Ruth (Jim) Hall of Flint, MI. He was a proud grandfather to grandsons, James, Joseph, Joshua, and Jarin Burger; granddaughters, Sabrina and Samantha Gahabka; great granddaughter, Payton Burger; and many nieces and nephews. Walt was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Louise (Burger) Thomas. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, and being surrounded by his loving family. He was the charter president of the F.O.E. Clare Aerie 3977. He spent most of his life in the Farwell area. Cremation Services were handled by Lux Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, MI. There will a Celebration of his Life held at the Clare Eagles, 11227 S. Grant Ave. Clare, MI 48617 on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 1 to 3 p.m. for all family and friends.
