Wanda Allen, 75, of Alma, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Masonic Pathways in Alma. In following Wandas wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. She was born July 22, 1935, in Wichita Falls, TX, the daughter of the late Henry and Leona (Williams) Fowler. Wanda spent most of her life in the Mt. Pleasant and Alma areas but had also resided in Chicago from 1989-1999. She worked as an accountant for several businesses including Greenwald Construction, A & G Floors and Mid Michigan and Central Michigan Interiors. While living in Chicago, she worked for the Local 46 Laundry Workers Union. Wanda is survived by two daughters, Diane (Ron) Fryman of Maryville, TN and Trisa (Steve) Merican of Chicago; grandsons, Kevin and Terry Zenker and Nicholas Merican; great-granddaughter, Isis Zenker; step-daughters, Debra (Steve) Vanacker and Kathryn Mollohan, both of Shepherd; step-grandson, J.R. (Leann) Vanacker of Fort Knox, KY; sister, Helen Morrow of Wichita Falls, TX; and nephew, Michael Morrow. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Burnell Fowler.
