Wayne Rex Reeves

Wayne Rex Reeves, 60, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. Cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory.

Wayne, survived by his mother Renee Reeves, sisters Fawn Reeves and Rachel Hartreeve (Jeff), nephew Dan Sullivan, and niece Saffron Hartreeve, was a man of faith and positivity. He played the bass guitar and loved football, was a Captain at Hamtramck High School, and played for his alma mater Central Michigan University. Wayne served in the Army, stationed in Hawaii, and afterward started working security at the Fox Theatre. His career at Little Caesars Corporate Headquarters culminated as the National Loss Prevention Manager. He was also a Century 21 Realtor. On August 20, 2008, Wayne was in a horrific motorcycle accident, becoming a complete quadriplegic. Exceeding the doctors' predictions, Wayne managed to live another 15 years in spite of his deep suffering. He was a wonderful and wise son, brother, uncle, and friend, and a light to everyone who knew him. Wayne was kind, resilient, and brave to the end.
