William 'Dean' Curtiss

William Dean Curtiss, age 32, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Dean was born on October 6, 1983 in Greenville, Michigan. His parents are Thomas and Deanna Curtiss of Mt. Pleasant. Dean was a lifetime resident of Mt. Pleasant and worked for MMI. Dean enjoyed spending time with his family, summer camping trips, and attending Detroit Tigers Spring Training in Florida. Dean is survived by his parents, Tom and Deanna Curtiss of Mt. Pleasant; his grandparents, Stan and Shirley Phelps; his brothers, Thomas Jr. (Joni Bullard), Benjamin (Mina Tillman), and Mason; and three sisters, Kristin and Christian Palomino, Michelle and Rahul Shah, and Kimberly (Steven Ward); and nieces and nephews, Gracelyn, Lennon, Aydann, Rayna, Annalise, Ethan, and Kalub. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norman and Barbara Curtiss. A celebration of Deans life will be held on Saturday, January 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Rowley Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Mr. Jason Wilson of the First Church of Christ officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of services. The family suggests memorial contributions to Gift of Life of Michigan or directly to the family to be donated to Deans local special needs classroom. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
