William Falsetta, 61, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at home. A Funeral Mass for William will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Loren Kalinowski presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. with a Vigil beginning at 6:30 pm. Visitation continues at the church one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. William was born July 1, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Thomas and Lillian (Fortino) Falsetta. William holds the Mt Pleasant High School football record for most tackles in a game. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. William is survived by two children, William Richard Falsetta II of Lavonia and Sara Lynne Falsetta of Detroit; a brother, Thomas (Diane) Falsetta II of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Margaret Mary Falsetta of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Italia Falsetta, Johnathan Sanders, and Eleanor Falsetta. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lillian; brother, Richard Charles Dickie.
