William M. Fitzgerald, 78, of Mt. Pleasant died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wed., Nov. 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John Cotter presiding. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Academy Foundation. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. William was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Edward and Nora (Murray) Fitzgerald. He graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1944. He worked on the family farm raising cash crops and was also employed at Central Michigan University. But his life centered around his faith. William is survived by his sister, Patricia Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; nieces and nephews, Joe (Susan) Campbell, Bill (Deb) Campbell, Mike (Sheila) Campbell, Tom (Kathy) Campbell, Tim (Tammy) Campbell, Kathy (and son, Adam) Campbell, and Kevin (Lisa) Campbell; and cousins, Frances Murray and Joan (Bill) Ruddell.
