A graduate of Blanchard High School in 1952, Bill married Mary Kitty Murphy on Nov. 10, 1956 at Sacred Heart. He owned and operated Leasher Electric, Inc. for over 30 years and was employed by the City of Mt. Pleasant as a firefighter for 35 years. He loved being an electrician and was proud of both the company he established and his service as a firefighter. Some of Bills favorite pastimes were golfing with family and friends, fishing, especially the fishing trips to Canada with his fellow firefighters, taking long rides through the back country, spending time at the cabin near Blanchard where a card game was sure to take place and his early morning visits with friends at Robaires Bakery each day. But most important to him was his family. He rarely missed a sporting event of his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his sons, Mark (Julie) Leasher of Lake Isabella and Gary Leasher of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren, Bailey Leasher, Jordan (Anna) Leasher and Dylan Leasher, and Ethan, Devon and Aaron Leasher; one great-grandson, Elden William Leasher; six siblings, Lee (Kathy) Leasher of Beaverton, Olin (Judy) Leasher of Santa Rose, Keith (Connie) Leasher of Blanchard, Evelyn Leasher of Blanchard, Bea (Ron) Windgaston of Shepherd, CA and, Jim (Gloria) Leasher of Breckenridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kitty in 2008; and brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Hazel Leasher.
