William E. Mccoy

William McCoy, 81, of Comins, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant. He was born August 10, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, son of the late Cecil E. and Mary E. (Cody) McCoy. A graduate of Waite High School in Toldeo, Bill earned his bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Bowling Green University. He served in the U.S. Airforce from 1957-1961 and was a member of the Air Force Boxing Team. On June 3, 1961, he married the love of his life, Ruth Hochanadel, at Good Shepherd Catholic church and they shared 59 wonderful years together. Some of his favorite pastimes were oil painting, fishing, hunting, and collecting antique guns. Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth; four children, Loraine Williams of Reader, WV, John McCoy of Titusville, FL, Danny McCoy of Jonesville, MI, and James (Rita) McCoy of Litchfield, MI; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and his sister, Barbara Waterman of Lynchburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald McCoy and Richard McCoy; and grandchildren, Amy Fowler, Jason Fowler, Matthew Fowler, and Jeff McCoy.
