William George Natzel

William Natzel, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at McLaren Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant. Bill was born February 7, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late George and Fern (Bugbee) Natzel. After graduating from Sacred Heart Academy in 1962, Bill married the love of his life, Mary Thomas, on November 17, 1962, in Mt. Pleasant. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Dan, Nora "Nonie", and Heather. Bill founded Central Janitor Service in Mt. Pleasant and operated the company for over 40 years. He retired and sold the business in the early 2000's. Bill enjoyed hunting, golfing, and fishing.  His best trout location was in Clare County's Meredith. For Walleye, he headed north to Canada. Bill liked to travel to California and spent many summers on Higgins Lake. Of all Bill's accolades and accomplishments, his greatest prize was his family, whom he loved dearly. Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary; three children, Dan Natzel and Nora "Nonie" Fitzpatrick, both of Mt. Pleasant and Heather Natzel of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Christopher Fitzpatrick (Haley Saba) and Kaitlin (Ethan) Putterman, both of Grand Rapids; great granddaughter, Leila Fitzpatrick; siblings, LaDawn Nester of Mentor, OH, Larry Natzel of Rose City, and Mick (Dorothy) Natzel of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends at Charles R.
