William H. Paisley, 61, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, June 1, 2002 at home with his family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. There will be a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Bill was born February 24, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant the son of Charles W. and Margaret S. (Hunter) Paisley. He married Mary Peltier on November 7, 1964 at Sacred Heart Church. He was an electrician for 30 years through the I.B.E.W. Local 692. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church where he volunteered for parish funeral luncheons, and he was also a member of the Beal City Knights of Columbus Council 3651. He enjoyed gardening, tractors and baseball games. But most important in his life was his family and his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife Mary Paisley of Mt. Pleasant; three daughters, Kelly (Ken) Witgen of Westphalia, Jamie (Rob) Rowley of Mt. Pleasant and Jana (Jeff) Grover of DeWitt Township; eight grandchildren, Mykena, Katie, and Addyson Witgen, Joshua Paisley, Brooke and Nathan Rowley, and Hawke and Dane Grover; three sisters, Jean (Ben) Bundy and Sally (Larry) Johnson, and Mary (Bob) Kerns, all of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Larry (Shirley) Paisley of Lansing, Perry (Roxanne) Paisley of Gladwin, and Pat Paisley of Midland; three sisters-in-law, Beverly (Joe) Murray of East Lansing, Donna (Terry) Judd of Laingsburg and Denise (Ron) Pohl of Mt. Pleasant; his father-in-law, Don Peltier of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph Paisley; and his mother-in-law, Rita Peltier.
