William W. Pashenee Jr.

William Pashenee, 61, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Taylor passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at Lux Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Buchner of Rosebush United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will take place following the ceremony. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice. William was born April 14, 1945, in Dearborn, the son of William W. and Bernice (Hanes) Pashenee. He married Gail (Campbell) Foster on March 6, 1969 in Taylor. From 1962-1966 Bill served in the U.S. Navy. He received the National Defense Service Medal. He retired from Michigan Bell where he worked as a telephone technician. He was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe and had also worked at the Tribal Senior Center. Some of his favorite pastimes were computers, photography, and woodworking. Bill is survived by his wife, Gail of Mt. Pleasant; five children, Michael (Anne) Pashenee of Mt. Pleasant, Suzanne Pashenee of Brownstown, Heather (Mike) Zahn of Norway, Mary (Wayne) Crouse of Taylor, and Carlton Campbell of Redford; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Vince (Jacqueline) Mendolia of California; and his sister, Diane (Richard) Dege of San Jose, Cal. He was preceded in death by his parents.
