Bill was born September 23, 1934, in Weidman, son of the late Basil and Iva (Parks) Rogers. Bill graduated from Weidman high school. In 1956, in Angola, Indiana, he married Nancy Priest. He operated a television repair shop for 25 years. Bill is survived by his wife Nancy; children, Kim (Karen) Rogers of Mt. Pleasant, Sheryl (John) Sweebe of St. Johns, and Pete (Lori) Rogers of Mt. Pleasant; and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Vern (Margaret) Rogers, Dorothy (Fred) Swan, and Juanita (Ted) Johnson. Due to a severe heart condition at an early age, Bill was not able to walk without the aid of crutches and ultimately, a motorized wheelchair. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. In honor of his amazing resilience and through it all, his wonderful attitude, we ask that you appreciate the ability to walk, skip or dance if you can, and donate to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Special thanks to the Laurels and the staff at McLaren Central Michigan for such wonderful care.
