William Francis Wells

William F. Wells, 83, of Lake Isabella died Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Laurels in Mt. Pleasant. His funeral will be held at noon, Monday, July 30, at Lux Funeral Home with Pastor John Boley of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. until the service begins at noon. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. William was born April 3, 1924, in Detroit, the son of George and Nora (Escher) Wells. He married the late Doris Walls. He worked as a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945. William is survived by four children, Kathleen (Lawrence) Barrett of Avoca, Rosemary Switniak of Warren, Frank Wells of Lake Isabella, and Mary Ann Thompson of Oscoda. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Doris in 2001.
