Yvonne Amelia (Laboda) Francetic

Yvonne Francetic (Laboda), 93, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at McLaren Central Michigan. Yvonne was born March 8, 1931, in Bay City, daughter of the late Henry and Adolphine Laboda (Stajkowski). She graduated from St. James High School in Bay City. In June 11, 1955, she married John Francetic at the St. Hyacinth Church in Bay City, MI. Yvonne was a nurse at Mercy Hospital (Bay City) for 16 yrs and at Central Michigan Community Hospital for 20 years. In her retirement years, she enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, and playing video poker. Yvonne is survived by her children, David (Paula) Francetic- Thailand, Jeffrey (Elaine) Francetic of Rancho Murieta, CA., Mark Francetic of Henderson, NV., and three grandchildren, Zack Theisen of Grand Rapids, Dr. John Francetic Jr. of Pacific Grove, CA, and Julie Rubio of Virginia; two great grandchildren, Nickolas and Nathan Rubio; sisters Paula Hemminger (Escondido, CA) and Marcia Edwards (Bay City, MI) and brother Paul (Chula Vista, CA). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brother, Eugene; and   daughter, Mary. Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Mass for Mary will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Fred Thelen as celebrant and Deacon Jim Damitio assisting.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass.
