Charles Lux

Owner/Funeral Director

As a second-generation funeral director, Charles has spent his life serving the
community he calls home. For Charles, funeral service is more than a profession, it is a
calling rooted in care, tradition, and responsibility. He is deeply committed to treating
every family as he would his own, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and never
alone as they honor the life of someone they love.
He works closely with families to guide them through every step of the funeral process
with compassion, clarity, and respect, whether planning a meaningful service, assisting
with pre-planning arrangements, or helping create a lasting memorial through thoughtful
monument design.
Charles earned his degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 1991,
bringing both professional training and decades of hands-on experience to his work.
Families appreciate his calm presence, careful listening, and steady guidance during
moments that can feel overwhelming.

Minde Lux

Co-Owner

Minde is a co-owner and a lifelong member of the Isabella County community. Her
connection to the funeral home is rooted in family, shared values, and a deep
commitment to service.
In her role as Isabella County Clerk, Minde serves the public with integrity,
professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility, qualities that also reflect the
standards upheld at the funeral home. Her dedication to public service and her long-
standing connection to the community reinforce the family’s shared mission of trust,
compassion, and accountability.
Minde’s role is grounded in family, trust, and a genuine desire to serve others well.

Office Manager

Carlie serves as Office Manager and plays a key role in keeping the funeral home
organized, responsive, and running smoothly. She manages the day-to-day
administrative details that help ensure families receive timely information, clear
direction, and dependable support throughout their experience.

with care and efficiency, especially during moments when clarity and follow-through
matter most.

Abigail Lux

Directors Assistant | Lincoln Reception Center Event Planner

Abigail works closely with families in both moments of loss and moments of preparation,
helping them feel supported, informed, and at ease. In addition to assisting with
visitations and services, Abigail oversees events held at the Lincoln Reception Center,
ensuring gatherings are thoughtfully coordinated and welcoming.
Abigail is also the primary point of contact for funeral and cremation pre-planning. She
helps individuals and families begin these important conversations with care, patience,
and respect.
Whether assisting with a service or guiding someone through pre-planning, she brings
warmth, organization, and care to every interaction.

home. As an assistant, Beau supports families during services and helps ensure the

Beau is known for being helpful, dependable, and attentive to the needs of both families
and staff. Whether assisting quietly during a service or tending to the behind-the-scenes

Owner/Funeral Director

Charles oversees all aspects of the funeral home including consultations with families, pre-planning, monument sales, and administrative duties. As the youngest of seven children, he graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1987 and later received his degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 1991. He is a member of Sacred Heart Parish, enjoys singing in the choir, and serves on the parish's Calvary Cemetery Board. He is also a member of the Mt. Pleasant Knights of Columbus. He enjoys sports, especially volleyball and golf. While he loves his calling in life to serve his community in its time of need, nothing gives him greater joy than spending time with his family. He and his wife, Minde have four children, Carlie, Zoe, Abigail and Caiden.

Carlie Lux joined our staff in 2021 as our Office Manager. Carlie combines professional excellence with a deeply personal touch, ensuring that every person who walks through our doors feels supported in their time of need. A 2019 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Carlie is currently enrolled at CMU to continue her college studies. As the eldest of four children to Charlie and Minde Lux, she has a natural ability to lead and care for others. Carlie finds immense joy in working alongside her family, firmly believing that strong family bonds are the most important foundation in life.

Social Media/Marketing

Zoe Lux is the daughter of Charles and Minde Lux. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 2021 and went on to graduate from Mid Michigan College in the fall of 2025 with her Associate’s degree in Business. Zoe currently oversees our social media presence, where she creates and schedules content and captures photos and videos of daily operations. Her creativity and consistency help showcase our team and keep our community connected with everything happening within the funeral business.
